Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.

Tahoe
Ever since I moved back to Reno, one thing I HAD to do was make sure I visit Lake Tahoe. I haven't been in years and figured it would be a great opportunity to get some goods shots in. A friend of mine planned a trip for the weekend and of course I was down to go. It was an awesome time and I need to make sure I visit more often. It's nice change of scenery.

Never not working...
Something I'm working on for a friend of mine. I swear, no matter how the small the project I'm working, even if it's just business cards, I feel at ease. I feel more accomplished. A 9-5 will never be able to compare, in my eyes.

Emigrant Gap, CA?
I made it to Reno, barely. My car broke down just 70 miles away from my destination. Mind you, I probably shouldn't have drove my car in the condition it was in, but I threw caution to the wind...and I paid for it. I was stuck in Emigrant Gap, Ca. Yeah. I was out of commission for 5 hours. Going back and forth with AT&T Roadside Assistance and various tow truck companies. Not to mention it was 95 degrees outside, and raining. Thankfully, a friend of mine, and my ride, showed up and it made the wait easier to deal with. End of it all, we all made it to Reno safely(minus my car's transmission) and I was just mentally exhausted so I crashed. No welcome back partying for me. Not yet anyway.

2 more days...
2 more days until I'm back in Nevada. Reno for 2-3 weeks, then down to Vegas. It's funny, I swore I would never step foot in Nevada again! I thought that state had put me through enough to keep me away forever. Nope. Being in both Reno and Vegas, it was the best times of my life and the worst. I would never take back anything I went through there because it made me who I am today. Now I'm of a new mind, a new business venture, and full of optimism. I was naive and green before. That's gone now. Of course, I'm still learning, but I'm no longer a rookie. I'm ready for whatever lies ahead. I thought I would never leave California again. Like I said, funny what you think you're never gonna do again.

The Introduction...
Greetings: Don't let the commercials and the beach and the weather fool you. Things in the Golden State aren't always all good. California has a rich history of prejudice, discrimination, violence, and resistance. The shirt includes pictures from the Watts Riots in 1965, The L.A. Riots in 1992, and The Black Panthers, who were formed in Oakland, California in 1966. Tensions are still high in certain areas of this great state and we still have a long way to go before things are right. Until then, enjoy the weather, the smoke, and the culture.
Peace Keepers: Peace is a beautiful concept, but at what cost? Is it justified to take force on those who don't agree with your concept of peace? Your peace and liberty may have a different meaning to different cultures. The more you enforce your 'peace', the more it's met with resistance. Which then turns to violence and loss of lives, most of which are innocent. Reevaluate your crusade before it blows up in your face. Literally.
